ECMO Outcome Prediction Scores for Estimating Likelihood of Patient Survival

Data from the ELSO Registry has been utilized to create outcome prediction scores to allow estimation of likelihood of survival in patients selected for ECMO in different settings. The table below notes a series of scores for specific patient populations. The scores were developed with use of data from the ELSO Registry. The references and associated websites with access to the scores are listed. These calculators are recommended for use by clinicians and researchers but are not recommended to be used for determining individual patient management while on ECMO or patient selection for ECMO.

ELSO takes no responsibility for accuracy or application of calculations generated or for the use of these values.
