Individual Certification Subcommittee — Subcommittee Chair
The Individual Certification Subcommittee provides strategic oversight and operational leadership across ELSO's individual certification programs (E-AEC and E-NPEC). Subcommittee Chairs serve as members of the Individual Certification Executive Group and play a central leadership role across application review oversight, exam accreditation, and exam item writing, ensuring consistent application of ELSO's certification review standards, actively engaging with accrediting bodies in support of E-AEC and E-NPEC exam accreditation, and contributing to the development and review of exam content. Subcommittee Chair appointments are for a 3-year term with the option for renewal. One or more positions may be filled.
Requirements: - Hold current E-AEC or E-NPEC certification - Currently employed at an ELSO Member Center - Maintain active experience in ECMO clinical practice, education, or certification - Demonstrate leadership experience in ECMO practice, education, or a related field - Demonstrate familiarity with ELSO certification and recertification requirements - Complete required training and annual policy updates - Uphold confidentiality and disclose conflicts of interest in accordance with ELSO policy.
