Individual Certification Application Review Subcommittee (ICARS) — Pod Reviewer
The Individual Certification Application Review Subcommittee (ICARS) is a newly established subcommittee responsible for evaluating applications for ELSO's individual certifications (E-AEC and E-NPEC). ICARS uses a pod-based structure in which small, multidisciplinary teams of reviewers assess application components in parallel, ensuring timely, consistent, and objective review across all applicants. Pod Reviewers are assigned to a pod of three multidisciplinary members and participate in monthly application reviews and pod meetings on an ongoing basis. A rotating Pod Lead position within each pod provides reporting to the Executive Group. Pod Reviewer appointments are for a 3-year term with the option for renewal.
